3-2.1. Analysis of the Sample File
The example in Figure 3-1 is for a Modbus link operating at a baud rate of 19200
with even parity. LC memory location 2000 will receive the link software’s status
information.
Group one will be executed periodically at an interval of five seconds. Using the
Modbus command Force Multiple Coils, digital states found in LC memory at
addresses 0000 through 0011 will be sent to Modbus slave 1 coils C1249 through
C1260.
Group two will be executed periodically and, because the interval has not been
specified, it defaults to zero and the group is executed as often as possible. A
message using Modbus function Preset Multiple Registers will be sent to Modbus
slave 2 to transfer the IEEE format floating point values at LC memory addresses
