The attribute ModemStatusReg is used to define an LC module register location in
which modem status is to be placed. The status values placed in the register are
listed in Table 6-1.
The attribute ModemTimerReg is used to define an LC module register location in
which the modem timer value is to be placed. The value placed in the modem timer
register is of significance only when bits MSW_HANGUP or
MSW_CONNECTING are true.
When MSW_HANGUP is true, the value represents the amount of time the DTR
line has been held off.
When MSW_CONNECTING is true, the value represents the amount of time since
DTR was raised while waiting for a successful connection.
The attribute ModemHangupTime is used to tell the interface how long to hold
DTR false when the absence of Carrier Detect has been noticed.
ModemHangupTime defaults to five seconds and its purpose is to allow the modems
to settle.
The attribute ModemWaitConnect is used to tell the interface how long to wait for
the local modem to connect to the remote modem before giving up. This attribute
defaults to sixty seconds.
