4-3. LC/Modbus Operation and Diagnostics
During LC/Modbus interface operation, several features are available for
confirming operation and diagnosing problems. These features are selected using
/FILE attributes, command line parameters, and keystrokes at the external host PC.
4-3.1. /FILE Attribute and Command Line Options
Table 3-1 in Section 3 lists the /FILE attributes. The attribute SysLogPriority is
used to select the severity of messages to display, with one being most severe and
seven being least severe. This attribute can also be set using the command line
parameter -syslog.
The severity levels are listed in Table 4-1. The interface software generates
messages at levels log_info, log_err, log_notice, and log_debug. The interface will
display those messages at or below the level set by SysLogPriority.
