1-1. Overview
The Ovation Link Controller Module Modbus Interface (hereafter known as the LC/
Modbus Interface) provides communication between an Ovation Link Controller
(LC) module (also know as an RLC module) and one or more external devices via
a single RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 link using Modbus communication protocol.
The Ovation Link Controller module is the Modbus master and the external
device(s) are the slaves.
The interface software interprets a configuration file which specifies
correspondences between Modbus registers, coils, and inputs, and Link Controller
